The article explains the problem. The buying decision stalls later.
Connect educational content with the questions a buying team needs to answer.
All six accounts, quotations and findings in this example are fictional teaching material. This is a demonstration of a deliverable, not a client case or a completed study.
Example materials
Research design, account analysis, reasoning and a test plan. All data are fictional teaching material.

Evidence, interpretations, decisions, tests and questions.
What the team would consider first
Provide a relevant path to implementation: roles, inputs, constraints and compatibility checks.
Content cannot fix a missing capability or the absence of an internal project owner.
The decision behind the research
The company must choose between more introductory articles and implementation material. Question: what role does content play as a proposal moves from an initiator to managers and other participants?
Scope comes before an interview count. The six examples demonstrate comparison; they are not a recommended sample size.
Relevant experience, not a follower list
Look for a recent supplier choice in which the person was directly involved. Establish who initiated, used the material, checked compatibility and approved the decision. Do not ask one person to reliably represent everyone’s thinking. Following the company blog is not required.
In an actual project, document recruitment sources, screening outcomes, missing groups and no-shows. Do not report fictional examples as recruitment results.
The evidence behind the interpretation
A marketer is looking to improve enquiry handling.
“I understood the article. My manager asked who would own it internally.”
What happened. Shared the article, received a question about team resources and searched for an implementation plan.
What remains uncertain
Missing page content does not mean a suitable internal owner actually exists.
A manager is evaluating an employee’s proposal.
“I need to know what work stops and what new work the team takes on.”
What happened. Asked for responsibilities rather than another account of the approach’s benefits.
What remains uncertain
Do not reconstruct the manager’s view only from the initiator; obtain their own account where relevant.
A technical participant is checking compatibility.
“The article looks straightforward, but our data source is not mentioned.”
What happened. Requested integration confirmation; the supplier did not support it, so the option was rejected.
What remains uncertain
This is an offer constraint. Content can reveal it earlier but cannot supply the missing integration.
An operations employee will use the resulting process.
“It works in the demo. What if someone enters the data incorrectly?”
What happened. Looked for exceptions and support arrangements to assess everyday use.
What remains uncertain
A written explanation alone cannot establish that the process is usable; the work itself needs testing.
Procurement receives a shortlist selected by others.
“I did not read the articles. I received requirements and was asked to check terms.”
What happened. Worked with documents and clarifications rather than the educational blog.
What remains uncertain
Not every decision participant is a reader. A single article need not handle every stage.
A small company whose owner both chooses and implements.
“I do not need anyone’s approval. I want to see the first workable step.”
What happened. Chose a getting-started sequence; an approval document was unnecessary.
What remains uncertain
Challenges a universal multi-stage buying model: one person may hold several roles.
How a follow-up changes the interpretation
What happened after you shared the article?
My manager asked who would maintain the process.
What did you do with that question?
Checked the supplier’s site. It covered benefits, but not our part of the work.
How did you continue the search?
Another supplier had a table showing what we do and what they do. I shared it.
We can connect the manager’s question with the search for another resource. We cannot attribute a sale to the table: the final choice and other influences are absent from the fragment.

Job hypotheses, with visible sources
Approve a feasible change
When someone proposes a new process, explain resources and responsibilities so the team can make an informed choice.
Check the fit with real conditions
Once the benefits are understood, examine compatibility and exceptions before discovering a critical constraint after implementation.
Check procurement conditions
With a shortlist already prepared, compare conditions and documents with company requirements to complete procurement checks.
Basis: C05
Start implementation independently
When one person chooses and implements, find a feasible first-step sequence without unnecessary approval work.
Basis: C06
A plan to test, not a promise of growth
| Priority and evidence | Proposed change | What to observe | What would challenge it |
|---|---|---|---|
| First · J01 | A brief implementation plan linked from the article, with client and supplier responsibilities. | Ask an initiator to prepare an explanation for a manager and identify unanswered questions. | If no internal owner exists, text alone does not make implementation feasible. |
| Next · J02 | Compatibility and exception guidance with a clear route for a specific question. | Give a concrete constraint and ask the person to assess fit. | If a required capability is absent, rule out the option honestly rather than intensify persuasion. |
| By situation · J03, J04 | Separate approval, procurement and self-start materials. | Test the next resource selected for a specific role and situation. | Where roles are combined, an elaborate approval journey may create friction. |
Agree an owner, a prototype and an observable task before testing. Compare with the current experience and record failures as well as successes. These checks have not been carried out in this example.
Limits and the next research question
There are no measured completed deals, sales-cycle lengths or revenue effects. The accounts belong to different fictional companies; they must not be stitched into one supposedly real purchase.
Before using these hypotheses, conduct real recruitment and interviews, inspect contradictory accounts and agree the evidence needed for the decision. The number of mentions in this demonstration is not a population statistic.
